Our Story

My grandmother Lenora Roundy Griffin grew up in Escalante, a small, rural town in southeastern Utah.  She was born, raised, and lived in the same house until she passed away at the age of 98.  She began cooking this mustard recipe when she was a small girl. As I grew up, it was always on the table ready to smother sandwiches, burgers, added to potato or macaroni salad, or used as a dipping sauce.

Years later, my father Eugene Napoleon "Pole" Griffin opened an eatery the next town over called Griffin's Drive-in and served up this mustard along with burgers, fries, chicken tenders, and onion rings. His business exists as Pole's Place in Boulder Town, Utah today. People always remembered his good food and kind character.  Give ‘er the Mustard has been passed down four generations and I hope it becomes a tradition in your family as well!
